Here is a paint skin peeled off the parchment paper and below is the skin cut into shapes and applied to the woodburned surface of a gourd.
These apples come together to form a gourd patch of the Virginia chapter of the American Gourd Society, the Virginia Lovers' Gourd Society. Crackled Apples apply their gourd knowledge and curiosity to unique, offbeat, and sometimes just plain strange gourdy dicoveries.

Winter WonderGourd project
The Crackled Apples are going to demonstrate and lead a project using paint skins at the Winter WonderGourd in Bealeton next weekend! With paint skins, the swirling, colorful acrylic appliques of dried paint add not only texture but visual interest to a gourd project. We're excited to spread the gourd news!
